Jean Francois Roy, having successfully developed senior care facilities in Quebec, Canada, moved to South Florida to ‘retire’. Realizing that retirement was not for him, he began investing in waterfront property, focusing his efforts to coastal developments.
The development process for waterfront property takes a unique skill set. For starters, the process is lengthy, often between seven and ten years. Under the leadership of Roy, Ocean Land Investments has rapidly become one of Florida’s largest developers and owners of oceanfront property. The company’s unique approach to coastal development includes securing all redevelopment approvals, as well as providing the equity necessary for a developer to obtain a construction loan.
A significant contributor to the communities which they serve, Roy has instilled a sense of ‘purpose’ into Ocean Land Investments. Every development in which OLI is engaged has a built-in charity component, wherein the company supports a worthy organization. Roy and his team view this approach as an obligation, and an important aspect of OLI’s business philosophy.
Roy’s plans for OLI’s is to further its mission of master-planned, coastal redevelopment.

Greater Miami is the only metropolitan area in the US whose borders encompass two national parks. You can hike through pristine Everglades National Park or ride on glass-bottom boats across Biscayne National Park.
